Plant Mechanic Required In WesTrac, Australia

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will carry out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner. With a diverse team and skill set you will have to maintain high focus on all safety aspects complying with WesTrac’s and our customers policies and procedures.

The variety of equipment you will be working on include but not limited to; Dozers D9, D10 and D11 Dozers, Wheel Loaders from 930 construction loaders to 994 mining loaders, Graders such as 16M, 18, 18M and 24M and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (785D – 793F).

Rosters:

• (FIFO from Perth only)
• 2/1 (14 days on, 7 off) 12.5 hrs each day (inc. 30 mins break)
• (Residential roster)
• 2/1 (14 days on 4 off) 12.5 hrs each day (inc. 30 mins break)

To be successful the following is required:

• Australian-recognized Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with post trade experience.
• A general interest and knowledge of CAT products whilst always learning on the job.
• Proven experience with heavy mobile plant machines in a dealership, mine site or field service environment.
• Sound knowledge and experience with CAT related systems ET/SIS.
• Excellent mechanical knowledge, service, repairs, diagnostics, fault finding.
